Big Brother Naija Season 9 finalist Victoria has addressed the rumors surrounding her relationship with fellow housemate Shaun Okojie.
Recall that the two had entered the house as a pair, Shatoria, before being unpaired by Biggie.
In a recent interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Victoria confirmed that she and Shaun had a history, but clarified that they were not romantically involved before the show.
She revealed that they had engaged in “silly fights” during the lockdown, which strained their relationship.
When asked about Shaun’s relationship with Wanni in the house, Victoria disclosed that Wanni had inquired about her relationship with Shaun before they started dating, to which she assured her that there was nothing between them.
Victoria emphasized that she had high standards and didn’t see anyone in the house that she liked.
She maintained that she and Shaun were just friends and that there was no romantic involvement between them.
She said:
“I will be very honest: I and Shaun did have a bit of back and forth during the lockdown; we were fighting over silly things. Going into the house, he found his confidant, and I had to deal with a lot of emotions on my own.
“Going into the house, I knew I wasn’t going to like anybody because my standard are very high, I know what I want. When I got into the house, I honestly did not see anybody that I liked. Even Wanni asked if me and Shaun had something, I told her no.”
Shaun also in a recent X space discussion, clarified relationship with Victoria.
Shaun explained that Victoria is not his ideal match and that their connection was purely platonic.
He emphasized that they never had a romantic relationship and therefore did not break each other’s hearts.
