Biodun Okeowo Omoborty relieved, thanks Lola Idije for clearing the air over husband-snatching claims

• Biodun Okeowo has again spoken out regarding the husband-snatching claims hanging over her head.
• The actress was accused of snatching the lover of one of Lola Idije’s daughters.
• Lola Idije stated that her daughters did not know Biodun Okeowo’s husband prior their wedding, leading the accused to profusely thank her senior colleague, while revealing why she spoke out instead of letting it slide.

Nigerian actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has appreciated her senior colleague, Lola Idije, for defending her over the husband-snatching allegation made against her.

Days ago, controversial Instagram blogger, Gistlover alleged that Biodun Okeowo snatched her husband, who she wedded early this year, from Lola Idije’s daughter.

Addressing the allegation, Okeowo revealed that her husband doesn’t know any of Lola Idije’s daughters and had only met the veteran through her.

Shutting down the rumors, she urged her colleague, Tosin, to clear the air on the news as she noted how the said colleague had been subbing for her.

On Monday, October 14, Lola Idije also spoken out, making it known that Biodun Okeowo never snatched her daughter’s man. She revealed that she was present  at Okeowo’s wedding, which would have been impossible if the rumors were true.

Lola Idije also stressed that the first time she spoke to Biodun’s husband was when she introduced him to her on a phone call and none of her daughters know him personally.

Now, taking to her Instagram page on Tuesday, Biodun Okeowo appreciated Lola for speaking the truth while emphasizing how the internet never forgets and she doesn’t want to be remembered for something that doesn’t define her.

The mother of two added that she felt the need to speak up for herself, her husband, her children, her family, and her fans because of how her daughter reacted to the news on the gossip blog, which is unlike her. She wrote:

“Thank you so much, ma, @lola_idije1959, for speaking the truth on this matter. Thank you to everyone who reached out with concern.

Yeah! I needed to speak up for myself, my children, unborn children, husband, in-laws, families, and my true fans. As they say, the internet never forgets, I don’t want to be remembered for something that does not define me at all.

I come first in all of this, my sanity matters. Being bullied is not healthy. I had to speak out, especially after seeing my daughter’s comment on Gistlover, defending me. That was the breaking point for me. I can’t remain silent seeing my child in that state, that is something she would never have done under normal circumstances. For her to do that. I know it’s time for me to save their faces.
