’45 days in prison is enough’ – Bobrisky begs Burna Boy to release Speed Darlington
  • Bobrisky appealed to Burna Boy to intervene, stressing that 45 days in detention was enough punishment.
  • This was after Speed Darlington was arrested for suggesting that Burna Boy had an illicit relationship with embattled American music executive Diddy in a bid to win a Grammy.

Controversial crossdresser Bobrisky has appealed to singer Burna Boy to secure the release of Speed Darlington, who has been detained for 45 days.

Recall that Speed Darlington was arrested after he made comments suggesting that Burna Boy had an illicit relationship with music executive Diddy to win a Grammy.

Despite a court order for his release, Speed Darlington has remained in detention, sparking mixed reactions from the public.

Bobrisky has joined the call for Speed Darlington’s release, urging Burna Boy to intervene.

On his Instagram Story, Bobrisky wrote:

“I just wanna mind my business this year and stay away from anything that connects with Nigerian celebrities. But my soft heart won’t stop me from thinking of many things.

“Pls Burna Boy, forgive Speed [Darlington]. Pls, prison is not a nice place. I don’t think he has money for a VIP section cos it’s expensive.”

Speed Darlington’s lawyer had earlier cried out, revealing that the Nigerian Police has refused to release Speed Darlington despite court order

Findings show that the singer was granted unconditional bail and that the only thing needed to do is for his legal team to get the ruling to the police legal department for them to minute on it and then send it to the Force Investigation Department FID where the singer is being detained, for compliance.

The singer’s legal team has since sent the court order to the police department but is yet to get any response or compliance.
Friday, December 27 made it a month since Speed was re-arrested by the police.

Reacting, Deji Adeyanju stated that is the highest form of disrespect to the judiciary.

Sharing screenshots of the court order on X, the lawyer wrote:

“The Nigerian Police have refused to release Speed Darlington a.k.a AKPI despite the explicit order of the Federal High Court to do so. This is the highest form of disrespect to the judiciary.”
