He said:

“I’m against European colonisation and imperialism but that does not mean that I’m against European people. Many Europeans have been our allies in the fight against greed and unfair systems, to make the world a fairer place for everyone.

“Being against colonisation does not mean being against Europeans, many have stood with us in the fight for justice and fairness.”

In another news, Seun Kuti questions why footballers earn more than essential workers.

During an Instagram livestream, Seun Kuti expressed his surprise that footballers earn millions for playing a game, while essential workers like nurses, teachers, and paramedics are paid significantly less.

He highlighted the crucial role essential workers play in our society, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He emphasized that these workers continued to risk their lives to provide vital services.

Kuti questioned why we prioritize entertainment over essential services and challenged the notion that footballers deserve such high compensation.

He said:

“They say footballers want to go on strike. They said they want to strike, where are the rich pan-Africans? The football they’re playing is too much. Footballers are paid millions just to chase a ball around a field. For the amount of money they are paid, they should be playing every day. Personally, I know boys who aren’t paid a dime yet they play on the field every day...”
