The scandal erupted shortly after May and AY, along with their co-stars, traveled to London to promote AY’s new cinema movie, The Waiter. The duo, spotted together on a flight in matching The Waiter-branded sweaters and color-coordinated trousers, quickly became a talking point.
However, things took a sinister turn when an AI-manipulated clip surfaced, deceptively altered their footage to create an illusion of intimacy between them.
