Nigerian music star, Portable has taken to social media to express his concerns about alleged threats to his life amid his case with the Ogun State government.

In a recent Instagram post, he claimed that certain individuals are plotting against him, drawing parallels to the death of his mother.

Portable asserted that these people will not succeed in their attempts to harm him, as he has been spiritually fortified by his mom prior to her demise.

The singer’s statement was laced with conviction and faith, as he declared that his glory would ultimately defeat his enemies.

He also expressed his trust in God’s grace, which he believes will speak on his behalf and protect him and his loved ones.

Portable’s outburst comes on the heels of a public apology from his sister, who alleged that a family member, Akeem, cast a spell on Portable, which has made him insanely controversial.

Recall that recently, nine Proteges of Portable were arraigned before an Isabo Magistrates’ Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, for allegedly attacking officials of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

The defendants—Nurudeen Warris, 21; Adetola Alashe, 25; Samuel Adeleke, 28; Oluwaseun Ayenuwa, 19; Oluwapelumi Adeosun, 20; Gospel Kanu, 20; Precious Ohiegebo, 19; Ifeoluwa Babatunde, 27; and Fatimo Muhammed, 26—faced five charges, including assault, obstruction, possession of dangerous weapons, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

During the court proceedings on Thursday, the prosecution alleged that the accused, along with Portable, who is currently on the run, attacked town planning officers—Abidemi Onabanjo, Ramon Lateef, and Akinpelumi Oyero—while they were carrying out official duties at Portable’s Odogwu Bar in Sango-Ota.

According to Police Prosecutor Sunday Ekong, the accused individuals were armed with cutlasses and guns during the altercation.

He further noted that the charges violated sections 516, 356(3), 80, 249(d), and 320 of the Ogun State Criminal Code of 2006.

Presiding over the case, Magistrate O.M. Somefun granted each defendant bail set at ₦5 million, with sureties who must be licensed bondsmen registered with the Ogun State Government.

The hearing was adjourned to March 17.
