IK Ogbonna shares why most relationships are crumbling

Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna has shared his thoughts on the state of modern relationships, highlighting a pressing concern that affects many.

According to IK Ogbonna, the General normalization of being physically present but mentally absent in social interactions is a significant factor why relationships are crumbling.

IK Ogbonna noted that the excessive use of phones has become a major obstacle to relationships.

He observed that during gatherings, parties, and even intimate relationships, individuals often find themselves distracted by their devices.

This, he stated leads to a disconnection between people, causing relationships to suffer.

He wrote on his Instagram story ;

“We have normalized being present but absent at hangouts, parties and even in relationships. O e person talks, the other person scrolls.”

“The second you pick the phone, you miss the moment. Your mind is in two places, but it’s your connection that suffers.”

”Friendships are failing. Relationships are dying. Work is losing focus. Choose connection over distractions. Drop the phones and be present”.

In another news, IK Ogbonna revealed that he has never toasted a lady in his life.

Even though Ogbonna was once married to Sonia Morales before the marriage crashed in 2019, the dashing actor firmly asserts that he’s never employed the art of wooing to start a romantic connection with a woman.

In a recent captivating episode of the Petite Talks podcast, the actor revealed that most of his romantic liaisons began as genuine friendships.

According to him, these deep bonds with women naturally blossomed into passionate love stories, sidestepping the traditional rituals of courting.

He confidently claimed that these friendships organically progressed to a point where mutual affection would surface, sparking a romantic attachment.
