Ossai Ovie Success, a well-known media personality, has fired a stern legal warning at Afrobeats legend, Innocent Idibia aka 2face, 2baba, over what he perceives as a reckless and legally dangerous move—his swift engagement to Honorable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.
From the shocking announcement of his separation from actress Annie Idibia to his very public declaration of love for Natasha and now a sudden marriage proposal, 2Baba has dominated headlines, setting social media and public discourse on fire.
His actions have been dissected, scrutinized, and questioned, with many wondering whether this is a genuine love story or a chaotic entanglement waiting to explode.
Taking to his Facebook page, Ossai Ovie Success didn’t hold back, slamming the music icon for rushing into another marriage while still legally tied to Annie.
He called out 2Baba for what he sees as an impulsive decision that could have severe consequences, both legally and reputationally.
According to Ovie Success, before making any move toward marriage with Natasha, 2face must legally dissolve his union with Annie through divorce. He further warned that if Annie decides to press charges, the singer could face bigamy prosecution in court
Ovie Success wrote;
“I’m disappointed in 2face, considering the timing of his proposal to Natasha. After watching the proposal video, I wondered, “Does he know what he’s doing?”
The fact is that 2face can’t marry Natasha while going through divorce proceedings with Annie.
“Doing so would constitute bigamy, punishable under Section 370 of the Criminal Code Act (CCA) 1990, with imprisonment for up to five years. According to Nigerian law, specifically the Matrimonial Causes Act (MCA) 1990 and Section 47 of the Marriage Act 1990, one must finalize their divorce before entering into a new marriage.
“Any marriage contracted while a previous marriage is still subsisting is null and void. Therefore, 2face cannot legally marry Natasha until his divorce is finalized. If he proceeds, his first spouse can file a complaint, leading to prosecution for bigamy. “
