Nigerian music star Burna Boy has sparked discussions online following the opening day streaming numbers for his latest single, Update, on Spotify Nigeria.

The self-proclaimed African Giant, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, dropped Update as his first release of 2025, ahead of his much-anticipated album, No Sign of Weakness.

The song’s launch was preceded by teasers, including a promotional trailer and social media profile updates, heightening fan expectations.

However, when music platform Album Talks revealed on Friday, February 21, that the track garnered 246.8K streams on its first day, reactions flooded social media.
