Natalie Okri raises alarm over human hair wigs, reveals why she stopped wearing them
  • British singer Natalie Okri alleges that some human hair wigs originate from spiritual sacrifices made to deities and unknown gods.
  • She states that in some parts of Asia, women donate their hair in temples to rid themselves of bad luck and poverty.
  • Okri claims that temple workers sell the sacrificed hair to major vendors, including platforms like AliExpress and Alibaba.
  • She warns that Black women purchasing these wigs may unknowingly be wearing hair linked to spiritual rituals.

British singer Natalie Okri has raised concerns over the origins of human hair wigs, claiming that some are sourced from spiritual sacrifices made to demons, deities, and unknown gods.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the former Britain’s Got Talent star explained why she stopped wearing wigs.

She alleged that in certain Asian cultures, women donate their hair in temples as a form of purification, believing it will help them rid themselves of bad luck, poverty, and other struggles.

According to the singer, these donated hairs are later sold to major vendors and distributed to global markets, including platforms like AliExpress and Alibaba.

She expressed concern that Black women unknowingly purchase these wigs, potentially carrying negative spiritual attachments.

“There are three reasons why I stopped wearing wigs and human hair: some human hairs are sacrifices to demons, deities, and other unknown gods,” she said.

“A lot of women in some countries like Asia go to the temple to sacrifice their hair to their god, believing that their gods will purify and cleanse them. They give their hair as a way to get rid of bad luck, poverty, and every other thing stressing them, allowing them to start life anew.”

Natalie Okri claimed that temple workers sell the sacrificed hair to European and international markets, where it is eventually bought by major beauty brands and vendors.

“Those working in the temple take their hair and sell it off to the European market or to different big vendors like Alibaba, AliExpress, and different brands. And we Black women go to those websites to buy these hairs at hundreds of pounds.

“We are wearing someone’s bad luck on our heads. You may not believe in their god, but as a Christian, that works against what I believe in, because we see them as demons and deities,” she added.

Natalie Okri rose to fame in 2009 when she captivated audiences with her singing talent on Britain’s Got Talent.
