Nigerian actress and philanthropist Foluke Daramola-Salako’s mother is dead. The movie star took to her official Instagram account on Wednesday morning March 19, to announce the passing of her mother, Aderonke Daramola.
Foluke Daramola’s mum died two months prior her 82nd birthday.
The actress in her post shared a video collage of photos of her mother surrounded by her children and great-grandchildren.
The 47-year-old was also featured seated closely to her mum. Captioning the video compilation of cherished moments with her mother, Foluke Daramola lamented:
“My mum is gone 😭😭😭😭😭.”
Fans and colleagues flooded the comment section with condolence messages, urging her to take heart. See their reactions below:

Foluke shared a close bond with her mother, Reverend (Mrs.) Aderonke Daramola (née Oshobu).
In May 2023, she celebrated her mother’s 80th birthday, describing her as a “wonderful vessel” used by God and noting her preference for a modest celebration.

In the same vein, Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi on March 6 announced the passing of his mother, Ifeoma Edith Ajibade.
The artiste took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, posting a touching tribute alongside a photo of them together.
In his rather moving post, Mr Eazi wrote:
“Thank you, Mummy For your strength, your sacrifices, your unwavering faith. For raising us with love, discipline, and devotion to God. For teaching me confidence, entrepreneurship, forgiveness, and family.
“You were my greatest protector, my toughest critic, and truest Fan.
“You were not perfect, but you were perfect to me. Your legacy lives on. Rest well Ifeoma Edith Ajibade.”
