Top 10 Nigerian songs dominating charts — May 2025

As the month of May slowly comes to an end, here are ten Nigerian hit tracks that have been dominating charts all month.

Pressure – Seyi Vibez

Seyi Vibez continues his chart dominance with “Pressure,” maintaining the number one spot for five consecutive days. Upon its release on May 21, Seyi Vibez’ debut single for 2025 surpassed 1 million all time streams in less than 24 hours.

With You – Davido & Omah Lay

Behind the Lyrics: What these Nigerian hit songs really mean

This collaboration has been a massive hit, holding the top position for 32 days and currently ranking second.

This surprise collab exploded thanks to both fanbases. Davido brings the energy, while Omah Lay’s voice adds emotional weight.

The chorus is instantly catchy, and the video features romantic Afro-Caribbean aesthetics that scream international appeal.

Lost – Fola ft. Kizz Daniel

A soulful blend of vocals and rhythm, “lost” has peaked at number two and remains a fan favorite. It’s a breakup anthem that feels deeply personal.

The minimalist beat lets the vocals shine. We expect this one to stay long on replay lists.

TaTaTa – Burna Boy ft. Travis Scott

This is an extraordinary cross-continental collaboration that has climbed to the third spot, showcasing Burna Boy’s global appeal. Burna brings the Afro-fusion vibes, Travis delivers a spacey trap verse, and the result is pure fire.

Shot in Marrakech, the music video that was shared 5days ago currently has over 3.3million views.

Get Better – Zlatan ft. Fola

A motivational track that’s resonating with many, currently sitting at number five. Zlatan looks inward here, talks less about Zanku and more about self-growth and resilience.

The hook is motivational and the instrumental uses live sax and subtle percussion, which is a new sound for Zlatan.

Laho II – Shallipopi ft. Burna Boy

A fusion of unique styles, this track has maintained a strong presence on the charts. This is a street meets superstar kinda song. Shallipopi’s slang-heavy style contrasts perfectly with Burna’s slick delivery.

Viral for its quotable lyrics — fans are already using punchlines as captions and TikTok audio.

No Turning Back II – Gaise Baba ft. Lawrence Oyor

Wondering why a gospel-infused song is in this list?, think no further. It’s because this beautiful track has broken into mainstream territory. It’s spiritual, but not preachy. That’s how diverse the taste of Nigerian music lovers is.

The fusion of Afrobeat drums with a church choir-style bridge makes it spiritually uplifting and sonically satisfying.

Arike – Kunmie

This is no doubt a wedding song in the making. “Arike” is poetic, warm, and soaked in Yoruba love language.

With its rich guitar work and stunning vocals, it’s giving Asa meets Adekunle Gold kinda vibes. Little wonder Simi released a cover of the song in April.

Pity This Boy – Odumodublvck ft. Victony

This is an energetic track that’s climbing the charts, blending rap and melody seamlessly. A gritty, emotional track from two of Nigeria’s most introspective young stars. It’s part confessional, part motivational. Odumodu’s raw rap with Victony’s soulful hook hits hard. A Gen Z anthem in the making.

My Darling – Chella

Rounding off the top ten, Chella has TikTok to thank. It’s a catchy song that has become a staple on playlists. A dance trend pushed this love jam into national spotlight. It has sweet lyrics, soft Afrobeat production, and perfect for love playlists. Young love never sounded so sweet.
