Nollywood sweetheart Ruth Kadiri is clearing the air on rumours about her partner.
Since tying the knot in 2019, the actress has famously kept her husband away from public view, sharing only subtle glimpses of his hands or back view photos of him. This low-key approach has fueled ongoing speculation, with many fans convinced she’s deliberately hiding her man.
But in a recent interview on the “Dear Ife” podcast, hosted by Ifedayo Agoro, Ruth Kadiri set the record straight once and for all. She said plainly:
“I’m not hiding my husband.
We go to church together, we go to events together, and sometimes his pictures even appear online. You just don’t realize it’s him!”
According to the actress, her husband is very present in her life but simply not interested in the spotlight. In fact, she revealed that he’s often right beside her at events she organizes, blending in effortlessly due to his extremely low-key presence. Ruth Kadiri continued:
“If you go on his social media, you’d only see the ‘word of God’. He doesn’t even post his own pictures. So there’s nothing for me to hide.”
Ruth’s explanation quickly resonated with fans, with many praising her for protecting her peace while still enjoying a full life with her partner.
Earlier this year, Kadiri also opened up about another side of public scrutiny, revealing in an interview with Chude Jideonwo that she once clapped back at trolls who mocked her engagement ring by personally checking out their pages and responding to them one by one.
“I have a petty side,” she admitted with a laugh.
Despite public curiosity and occasional criticism, Ruth Kadiri is sticking to what works for her, a private, love-filled life on her own terms.
The actress, who continues to thrive both as a filmmaker and one of Nollywood’s most relatable personalities, has proven that fame doesn’t have to come at the expense of personal boundaries.
