The management of Astronomer, a U.S.-based data and observability company, has launched a formal investigation into its Chief Executive Officer, Andy Byron, its CEO, and Kristin Cabot, its chief people officer, after a viral video of the two at a Coldplay concert stirred allegations of infidelity and workplace misconduct.
The video, which surfaced over the weekend, shows Byron and Kristin in a romantic embrace during a Coldplay performance in Munich, Germany.
The clip shared online unknowingly captured the pair at Coldplay concert. Online users quickly recognized Walker and Beringer as top executives at Astronomer, triggering widespread speculation and public backlash.
The incident quickly gained traction online, with many commenters accusing the executives of inappropriate behavior, especially given their professional relationship.
Questions around ethics, transparency, and the abuse of corporate hierarchy have now placed Astronomer under intense public scrutiny.
In response, Astronomer released a statement on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, confirming that both Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot are now subjects of an internal probe.
The company said it was “taking the matter seriously” and had “initiated an investigation to ensure accountability and uphold the integrity of the organization.”
The firm emphasized its commitment to a “safe and respectful workplace” and noted that the ongoing situation involves “sensitive personnel matters” that require thorough review.
“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,” the post reads.
“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.
“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”

Meanwhile, social media remains ablaze with reactions, with users divided between those condemning the apparent misconduct and others questioning the necessity of public shaming.

Neither Byron not Kristin has issued a personal statement addressing the allegations as of the time of filing this report.
