All that’s left is to get sexier – BNXN on glow-up journey

Bnxn

Nigerian singer BNXN (formerly known as Buju) has opened up on his personal glow-up journey.

The ‘Finesse’ crooner stirred reactions on social media after posting on X (formerly Twitter):

“All that’s left for me to do is to get sexier.”

And fans couldn’t help but agree that this is a full-circle moment for the singer, who has been the target of online body-shaming in the past.

BNXN’s post is being hailed as a confident clapback to critics who used his physique as punchlines, especially during his infamous 2022 online beef with fellow singer Ruger. That particular feud got heated, with Ruger throwing jabs about BNXN’s weight, something he later admitted regretting.

“I feel bad that I body shamed BNXN, I regret it,” Ruger confessed in an interview last year.

But since burying the hatchet, the two surprised fans with a joint project titled ‘R&B’, turning what started as a messy social media battle into one of the most unexpected musical reconciliations in Afrobeats.

Now, BNXN’s latest post suggests he’s stepping even more into his full star power with talent, brand, and looks combined.

While he hasn’t revealed if he intends to hit the gym hard or just revamp his fashion game, it’s obvious BNXN is locked in on growth, inside and out.

In the same vein, actress Opeyemi Aiyeola revisited her clash with colleague Eniola Badmus who body shamed her. Months after a seemingly playful jab about her hairline sparked online drama, Opeyemi set the record straight.

It all started when Eniola left a comment under one of Opeyemi’s Instagram posts, asking:

“Opeyemi, where is your hairline?”

What was intended as a joke, according to Eniola Badmus, quickly spiraled into something serious, with many fans slamming the former for being insensitive. Opeyemi, clearly hurt by the remark, didn’t mince words in her response. She fired back:

“You are an animal… You think beauty is about physical appearance? You are ignorant.”

Eniola eventually issued an apology, claiming it was all in good humour but Opeyemi didn’t buy it. She deleted both the comment and the apology, branding it “fake” and “gaslighting.” In a follow-up video, she made it clear that they were never friends, had no personal relationship, and that such “banter” was completely out of place.

Opeyemi Aiyeola went further to address the culture of mocking fellow women for their looks, especially from someone who had once been body-shamed herself before undergoing weight loss surgery.
