A fresh twist has emerged in the ongoing outrage over the repeated road tragedies linked to Dangote trucks, as fiery activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), and Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, have joined forces in Auchi, Edo State.
In a viral video circulating online, Apostle Suleman was seen climbing an overhead pedestrian bridge to meet with the outspoken activist.
The moment captured Suleman extending a handshake to VDM, who bowed slightly in respect, before the two engaged in a prolonged conversation. They were surrounded by sympathizers and community members, creating a dramatic scene that underscored the weight of their cause.

The alliance between the fiery preacher and the relentless social critic comes after multiple accidents involving Dangote-owned trucks, one of which recently occurred in Auchi near Suleman’s church.
That crash claimed three lives and left others critically injured. Another victim was Ruth Otabor, sister to BBNaija star Phyna, who suffered a life-threatening injury that led to the amputation of her leg.
Both Suleman and Verydarkman have accused Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, of negligence in the operations of his conglomerate’s logistics arm. They allege that many of the company’s trucks are entrusted to poorly trained and, in some cases, drug-influenced drivers, thereby endangering road users.
The cleric lamented that the reckless activities of the trucks have continued to cause bloodshed, while VDM insisted that enough was enough.
In a bold move, Verydarkman recently stormed Auchi road where the accident happened, physically blocked Dangote trucks from passing through the highway. He declared that until the company accepts responsibility and fully pays the medical bills of all victims, he would continue to obstruct their operations in Edo State.
Their joint appearance marks a new phase in the agitation, amplifying pressure on Dangote Group to address the safety and accountability issues that have long trailed its fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.
With the partnership of a respected clergyman and a fearless activist, the campaign against reckless Dangote truck operations now appears to have gained momentum, signaling a potential clash between Nigeria’s most influential business empire and grassroots forces demanding justice for victims.
