WITHIN NIGERIA recalls reporting that comedian AY Makun expressed outrage on Tuesday, February 4, over a viral AI-generated video showing him passionately kissing May Edochie.
The fabricated clip, which took the internet by storm, sparked wild speculations, with many netizens pointing fingers at Yul Edochie and Judy Austin, or at least their so-called “camp”, as the alleged masterminds behind the disturbing deepfake.
However, just as the dust was beginning to settle, yet another AI-generated video surfaced, this time capturing Judy Austin kneeling before a seated May Edochie.
The video, which quickly went viral, came with a caption suggesting that Judy was begging May for forgiveness.
Many interpreted this as a retaliatory move, allegedly orchestrated by May Edochie’s supporters as a direct counterattack to the earlier deepfake involving AY.
