Music Star Iyanya reacts to claims that his hit song, Kukere, was written by D’banj

Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk popularly known as Iyanya has reacted to speculations that his hit song ‘Kukere’.

This comes after a Twitter user reminisced on the memories of the popular hit song stating that the song was co-written by Dbanj.

The post reads: So Kukere by @iyanya was co-written by dbanj?, we learn everyday sha…this song brings me good Ol’memories fr.

Responding, Iyanya said the song ‘Kukere’ was written by him but Dbanj’s verse in the remix of the song was written by him.

Iyanya wrote:

“No. Kukere original was written by me. Dbnaj’s verse in Kukere remix was written by him. thank you.”

We recall that Iyanya was arraigned before the Igbosere High Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing a car.

The ‘Kukere crooner’ had pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released to his lawyer, who undertook to produce him in court for his next appearance.
