Patoranking reveals reason he started singing

Popular Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie mostly known as Patoranking reveals one of the main reasons he started singing.

The 32-year old singer in a recent interview reminisced on his days back as a dancer and how he eventually choose singing.

In the interview, he spoke about growing up in the ghetto, while he also recalled how girls used to flock around singers back when he used to be in school.

He mentioned that asides for the passion he has for music, one other main reason he choose singing was just for him to get the girls.

“Many of the things I learnt about music and entertainment generally, I learned in the ghetto.

“Before I started singing, I used to dance. One of the main reasons I started singing was that I liked to get the girls back then in school. Then, if you couldn’t sing, nothing for you.

“I just had to get involved in something that had to do with singing. And I loved music.”
