Fans of Popular drama series, The Johnsons, are heading into new episode with indescribably heavy hearts.
The death of popular Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh, no doubt threw the Nigerian entertainment industry into great mourning.
Right before filming on the upcoming episode began, it was announced that the movie star died on Jul 17, 2022, after she collapsed at the home of a wealthy oil family in Delta state, where she had gone on a visit.
A quintessential scene-stealer, Ada Ameh played the role of Emuakpor Johnson, the first lady, and matriarch of the Johnsons clan. For 11 seasons, she brought joy and laughter to homes across the continent.
After news of Ada’s passing, the executive producers worked to find a thoughtful way to honor her. Initially, there was an episode written featuring ‘Emu’ that they were excited about, but the heartbreaking loss required them to make a new plan to conclude the character’s story.
The decision was made to have ‘Emu’ die as seen in the trailer below. Other casts like Charles Inojie, Aki, others were captured bidding farewell to the late Actress.
