Actress Rahama Sadau reacts after being listed as a member of Tinubu’s women campaign team

Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau has reacted to recent reports that she had been recruited alongside top Nollywood actresses to campaign for Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential race.

On Saturday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) unveiled a women’s campaign team list for Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate.

The list includes a creative and entertainment industry committee , headed by Joke Silva, the movie star.

It also named Sadau alongside other top Nollywood stars such as Mercy Johnson, Toyin Adegbola, Esther Wright, Rose Odika, Hadiza Kabara, Fausat Balogun, and Sola Kosoko.

Debunking the report in a Twitter post on Saturday, an angry Rahama described it as a “big fat lie”.

She wrote: “THIS IS A BIG FAT LIEEEEE…. I AM NOT AWARE OF THIS … I DON’T KNOW HOW MY NAME MADE IT TO THIS LIST, NOT IN ANY WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) constituted the women wing of its presidential campaign with Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, as the grand patron.

Remi Tinubu, wife of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and Nana Shettima, wife of the vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, will serve as chair and co-chairman.

Asabe Villita, a former member of the House of Representatives from Borno State, was appointed the national coordinator of the team with Lauretta Onochie, the controversial aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, as her deputy.
