The Department of State Services has denied arresting the ‘former’ Media Aide to Governor Ganduje of Kano State, Salihu Tanko-Yakasai over his comments against the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and APC.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Salihu Tanko-Yakasai called on the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to either deal with bandits in the country or resign.
A report then emerged on Saturday, February 27, that he has been arrested by the DSS.
However, the DSS State Director, Muhammad Alhassan denied arresting him as he said; “we have not arrested or even invited Salihu, don’t forget he is our friend, sometimes, he advises us on issues of critical Security situations in Kano”.
While his whereabouts remain unknown as at the time of filing this report, the Kano state governor has sacked Yakasai following his criticism on Buhari, APC over the insecurity in the country.
