BREAKING: Father of one of the students abducted in Kaduna dies

Father of one of the 39 students kidnapped from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization in Mando, Kaduna, Ibrahim Shamaki, is dead.

According to The Nation, Shamaki died on Friday from anguish of his missing daughter Fatima.

Miss Fatima was identified as the girl with hijab in the video released by bandits barely 24 hours after abduction of the 39 students.

In the video, Fatima spoke in Hausa that the bandits threatened to ensure none of them leaves the forest alive if the government sends troops to rescue them.

The sad news was disclosed to Journalists hours after Parents of the abducted 39 students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation Afaka met with government and security stakeholders behind closed doors.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the Kaduna State Government called the meeting apparently to find ways of securing release of the students.

The meeting, which held behind closed doors at the Government House in Kaduna, lasted for hours.

Although outcome of the meeting was not made public.
