BREAKING: President Buhari departs for London

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday afternoon departed Nigeria for London, United Kingdom.

The president flew in one of the jets in the presidential fleet through the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.

While in the UK, Buhari will see his doctor for checkup.

He is billed to return to Nigeria around second week of April, 2021.

Before his departure, he had meeting with the nation’s security chiefs.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; Defense Minister, Major-General Bashir Magashi (Rtd); and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari and the National Security Adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno (Rtd), are all in attendance.

Others are Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff; Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru, Chief of Naval Staff; Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Ishiaka Oladayo Amoo.

Also present were Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, the Director-General of Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, and the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.

At the meeting, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the service chiefs and other security and intelligence coordinators of the nation to mark and take out bandits, kidnappers and their sponsors.
