Bashir El-Rufai, son of Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, said majority of people from the South-East of the country are not in support of secession but conducive economic environment.

The junior El-Rufai stated this on Monday via his Twitter handle @BashirElRufai, adding that by God’s grace all this violence shall come to an end.

His tweet reads: “No reasonable person from the SE would condone violence, neither do the majority want any secession. The ones in my life & I’ve had a pleasure of interacting with (off social media) only want a conducive economic environment and Insha Allah all this violence shall come to an end.”

Recall that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a separatist organization led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been clamouring for an independent state of Biafra in the South East of Nigeria, insisting on the call for the region to secede from Nigeria.
