Delta State retained the National Sports Festival title after emerging winners at Edo 2020.
Team Delta won 384 medals ( 158 Gold, 116 Silver and 110 Bronze).
Hosts Edo came second, while Bayelsa took third position.
This is the third time in a row that Team Delta will finish as the overall winners of Nigeria’s version of the Olympics.
Meanwhile, the federal government through the ministry of youth and sports development has awarded Delta State the hosting rights for the 21st edition of the National Sports Festival (NSF) in 2022.
This was confirmed at the closing ceremony of the 20th edition of the Nigeria’s Olympics games by the sports ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Nebolisa Anako.
