The Executive Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello has begged the Nigerian army to ensure that insecurity soon becomes a thing of the past.

This appeal was made by Yahaya Bello during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Nigerian Army Wives Association (NAOWA) wellness centre in Abuja, on Monday.

Speaking on the development, the Kogi governor urged the Nigerian army to deal decisively with those who have taken up arms against the state.

“Let our men in uniform be safe and secure, finish the job and return to their wives and children.

“I want to sincerely appreciate the good works that you have started so far, and we will continue to support you and give you all the necessary encouragement.”

The governor commended NAOWA for the initiative to establish the wellness centre, and said the centre will cater to the welfare of the personnel as well as civilians.

On his part, Buba Marwa, chairman of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), said the agency will partner NOAWA to ensure speedy completion of the project.
