Operatives of Police mopol force on special duty in Maiduguri have vowed to block major roads in Maiduguri and kill any senior police officer in protest of their starvation caused by unpaid allowances by the federal government.

The Mopols also called for the resignation of the Inspector General of Police, saying he is not capable to lead the force to greater heights.

Recall that WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Operatives of Police mopol force on special duty in Maiduguri have continued to live in starvation, frustration and neglection over unpaid allowances by the federal government

This was made known to WITHIN NIGERIA reporter on Sunday evening by a police inspector who prefers to be anonymous.

According to the police inspector, the Inspector-General of Police visited Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state recently and we gathered ourselves as we await further clarifications from him about our allowances.

But we were ignored by the IGP who abandoned us (Mopol officers) at the police headquarters and went to the army headquarters, the police inspector said.

This new development is a proof that the IGP is not capable to lead the force and he should resign because if he is afraid to address his own men then how would he be able to give instructions and oversee the adherence of these instructions, the police inspector added.
