The supreme leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has declared that the group’s security outfit, Eastern Security Network, ESN, was created as a necessity to protect Igbo people from the brutal attacks.
Kanu stated that ESN will remain as long as President Muhammadu Buhari‘s regime continues to kill and kidnap Biafrans across the South-East region.
Recall that security agencies has accused IPOB of being responsible for for the activities of the unknown gunmen wreaking havoc in the South-East region to pave way for the actualization of the age-long agitated Biafra nation.
However, the Biafra freedom fighters has repeatedly dismissed the claim, stating that IPOB and its security wing, ESN are not responsible for criminal activity but to fight criminal elements as the entire nation suffers insecurity.
Kanu’s tweet reads, “Again #ESN was created out of necessity. As long as Buhari’s regime continues to kill and abduct #Biafrans across the (SE)!
“ESN will continue to protect Igbo people from the brutal attacks of terrorists, bandits and herdsmen”.
