The Biafra Nations League, BNL, has revealed why they would not join the proposed protest at the Federal High Court, Abuja to demand the release of the Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Head of Operations of BNL, Henry Edet, said that IPOB has not reached out to them on their next line of action.

Edet disclosed this in a statement in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday, July 4.

BNL said it would not be deterred by federal government threat to go after IPOB collaborators including other separatists groups

“I saw some YouTube channels mentioning that we will be part of the protest, I’m not aware. As the head of operations, any action my group wants to take I am the person that will handle it.

“For now my group have not disclosed to me that we shall be participating in protest anywhere.

“The IPOB leadership has not reached out to us on that, so we can’t be faster than them.”

The group said it won’t condemn any action IPOB takes in ensuring that Kanu was free, while advising them to look beyond protests.
