Army General assassinated in Abuja laid to rest

Major General Hassan Ahmed, who was assassinated in Abuja on Thursday night in the Abaji area of the FCT has been laid to rest.

The former Provost Marshal of the Nigerian Army, Ahmed, was buried at Lungi Barracks Cemetery, Abuja.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that gunmen opened fire on Ahmed’s vehicle, who was recently appointed a Director at the Army Headquarters in Abuja.

The assailants also whisked his wife away while his driver survived but sustained injury.

It was learnt that the couple were coming from Okene in Kogi state when they were attacked.
