After the preliminary 100-man list, the second round of voting will now commence as the number of names has been trimmed down to 80. And in this stage, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Red Bull Salzburg’s Karim-David Adeyemi, are some of the names on the 80-man list of nominations for the 2021 Golden Boy award on Friday.

The Golden Boy prize is an annual award established by Italian newspaper Tuttosport which is handed to the best player in European football under the age of 21 over the preceding calendar year.

Last year, Erling Haaland was named the 2020 Golden Boy, by an international panel after beating off Barcelona’s Ansu Fati.

This year, he will be challenged by Arsenal’s Saka, and Red Bull Salzburg’s Adeyemi and Barcelona’s Pedri.
