The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) has released a seized vessel, MV Platform Care I, to its owner at the Naval Base in Warri, Delta state.

The NN said the release followed directives from the naval headquarters.

The vessel was seized in February 2020 for not having regular documents of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

Commander Levi Deyin, executive officer of NNS Delta, signed the release on behalf of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo as well as the Commander NNS Delta, Commodore Abdulhamid Baba-Inna.
