A popular Lagos monarch, Oba of Iguruland, Alhaji Buhari Oloto, is dead.
The monarch’s death was confirmed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Vice Chairman (Lagos Central) Hakeem Bamgbola.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the Oba died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
His death has thrown his community into mourning.
The late Oloto was installed as the Oba of Iguruland, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos last September. He was said to be 80.
Oba Oloto, popularly known as Buhari Oloto and later called Abu Oloto, was a popular figure in the Lagos social scene for over 40 years.
