One of Nigeria’s tennis representatives at the 2020 Tokyo, Quadri Aruna, is the latest sports personnel to call out the Nigerian Sports Administration.
He went as far as daring them to remove him and even asked to explain to Nigerians, why they removed his former coach.
His words;
“You can remove me from the National team but please explain to the whole world, the reason the coach that qualified me to quarter finals in Rio games is not in Tokyo.
“I dare you all to remove me because i said the truth, Athletes were being short paid and nobody should complain?.
“You are now threatening that you will remove me, i dare you all to remove me, Honourable minister should address the athletes, officials are trying to spoil your good work”
Recall, Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun and one of the most decorated athletes in Nigeria, Blessing Okagbure, had called out Nigeria’s sports administration respectively.
For Leon he complained about how they are owed bonuses for months, bad infrastructures and where they keep them, whenever they gather for international duties.
For Blessing Okagbure, she complained that that they don’t care about the athletes, and that they were busy fighting for a sports brand deal.
According to her, whoever is not passionate about the job, should not be in charge.
