The national moderator of Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA), Omole Babatunde has disclosed that teenage pregnancy among girl-child is rapidly increasing in two undisclosed local governments under the Osun West Senatorial District.

This disclosure was made on Monday, October 11 by the national moderator, Omole Babatunde while speaking at an event organised by the group with the theme ‘Digital Generation, Our Generation’ in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl-Child.

The event which was held at the conference hall of Aenon Suites Hotel, GRA in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State was graciously attended by government officials, education stakeholders, police officials, female students, journalists among others.

Decrying the rising rate of unwanted pregnancies in these two local governments, Omole expressed his fear and concern over the socio-economic situation of these local governments and how this sad development has worsened every crucial sector such as healthcare among others.
