Manchester United and Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has broken another Lionel Messi’s Instagram record after he announced that he and his partner are expecting the birth of a set of twin.
The Portuguese striker broke the exciting news last night on Instagram as he wrote,” Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love- we can’t wait to see you”.
Ronaldo, who currently has around 360million, followers on social media platform, Instagram, has been receiving numerous congratulatory messages from loved ones across the Globe since the announcement was made.
As of this evening, the post has garnered over 28million likes which took Ronaldo to another milestone, as it means he has broken a record set by Messi earlier this season.
Lionel Messi had earlier made wave on social media when he left Barcelona for PSG, with most of his presentations both at Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain gathering a record of likes.
The instagram post of Messi’s picture with Copa América trophy became the most liked sport related post on Instagram before Messi himself broke those record when he moved To PSG in August.
