As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 116 new positive cases of the deadly disease in seven states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Saturday, November 6.

With the new figure, nine deaths have been confirmed within the past seven days, while Nigeria’s fatality toll stands at 2,905.

For new COVID-19 cases, Imo topped the list on Saturday with 53 fresh infections, followed by Plateau with 30, and the federal capital territory (FCT) with 10.
