Policemen have taken over the National Secretariat of the ruling the All Progressives Congress, APC, located on Blantyre Street, Abuja.
Dozens of armed policemen in four patrol vans have taken over the entry and exit points on Blantyre Street where the All Progressives Congress National Secretariat is located.
It was gathered that the policemen, who came in four patrol vans and took over the entry and exit points of the street on Wednesday, were complimented by officers of the Department of State Service, DSS, to forestall a possible breakdown of law and order.
According to PUNCH, the security officials mobilized in response to security reports about a planned protest by aggrieved APC members against the party leadership to register their displeasure over the conduct of the recently conducted ward, local government and state congresses.
