At least 10 persons have reportedly lost their lives and five others sustained serious injuries on Thursday in a road crash at Ajegwu Bridge, on Ayingba-Lokoja Road, Kogi State.
The Kogi State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, disclosed this in a report released on Thursday
According to the report, the two vehicles, a Howo bus with the number plate, XE 536 AWK, and a Toyota Hiace without a number plate, were involved in the crash.
The FRSC added that the accident was caused by speeding and loss of control.
“The 10 corpses were taken to the Holy Memorial Mortuary, Ochadamu.
“Traffic control was carried out at the scene. Obstructions have been removed and traffic normalcy restored along the affected road by the FRSC and other security agencies present at the scene,” the report added.
