Hon, Ochuko Jude Adjekpovu, the councillor representing Ward 5 in the Ethiope East Legislative Arm, has died after being shot by gunmen.
Adjekpou died a week after he was shot by gunmen suspected to be killer Fulani herdsmen, along the Eku/Abraka road in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
He was shot by gunmen on his way back from a function.
The politician reportedly died in the early hours of Thursday, Dec. 16, in a private hospital in Warri, where he was receiving treatment.
WITHIN NIGERIA had reported yesterday that armed men suspected to be bandits killed a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, representing Giwa Constituency, Rilwanu Gadagau, along the Kaduna-Zaria highway.
The lawmaker was the Chairman of the Committee on Local Government and Rural Development in the Assembly.
