Contractors working on a variety of projects in Taraba State have been warned that if they don’t sit up, their contracts would be revoked.

This was the direction of the State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, who took time on Tuesday to commission several projects not carried out by him but by people in the State’s Kurmi Local Government Council.

He promised that if any contractor failed to satisfy the contract agreement with the State government, he would not hesitate to replace them.

Ishaku also addressed the ongoing marraraba/Baissa road project, stating that his government has set aside the necessary monies to complete the project.

He did warn, though, that if any of the contractors already working on the road were found wanting, his government would not hesitate to find a new contractor to finish the job.

Though construction on the road is still proceeding, the governor has scheduled the commissioning for the second quarter of next year.

The completion of the road, he added, will be in fulfillment of his election campaign pledges to the people when canvassing for their votes in 2015. He applauded the hands of friendliness provided by the residents of the region to the contractors.

With only 15 months left till his term ends, the governor has pledged to propose additional initiatives that will open the council to investors, as reported by newsmen.
