The Emir of Jama’are in Bauchi State, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammadu Wabi III has died after a brief illness.

Gadodamasun Jama’are, Alhaji Salleh Malla, who announced the death of the emir said the monarch died at about 12 midnight on Sunday after 50 years of reign, leaving behind two wives and 35 children.

He added that the late ruler will be sorely missed.

Jama’are is a Local Government Area in Bauchi State. Its headquarters are in the town of Jama’are
