The suspended head of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), DCP Abba Kyari has been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over alleged drug trafficking.
This was disclosed by the spokesperson of the agency during a news briefing on Monday.
According to NDLEA, investigation has revealed that Kyari is a member of drug syndicate which operates across the globe.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Abba Kyari, the embattled former head of the Nigeria Police Force’s Intelligence Response Team and a popular socialite, Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, were some of the guests that attended the wedding of Maina Alkali, the son of the incumbent Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba.
Kyari had not been seen in public functions or activities since the outrage that greeted his Facebook post on August 4, 2021 amid his controversial involvement with alleged internet fraudster Hushpuppi.
