Nigeria has recorded 50 fresh cases of deadly viral disease, COVID-19 in four states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Sunday, February 20, 2022.
According to agency’s report, the breakdown of new cases across states is as follow; Imo-22, Lagos-14, Rivers-7, FCT-5 and Delta-2.
The NCDC said 168 persons were discharged after recovering from the infection. There were no fatalities on Sunday.
The agency said the report includes 20 community recoveries from the FCT.
Nigeria now has a total of 254,293 confirmed cases, 230,755 recoveries and 3,142 deaths.
