Akwa United midfielder, Mayi Amanzah Ademe Seth, proposed to his girlfriend, Blessing Karimu, on the pitch at the New Jos Stadium in Plateau State.
Seth asked his girlfriend to marry him just before the kick-off of Plateau United vs Akwa United 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match-day 15 game on Sunday, February 27.
The official Twitter account of the League Management Company (LMC) issued a statement about the proposal.
“In Jos before #PLAAKW kickoff today. Akwa Utd star Seth Mayi proposes to his sweetheart Blessing Karimu & she said YES. A wedding party coming up in Jos soon.” the statement reads.
