The Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has denied reports claiming that some parts of 22-year-old Bamise Ayanwole, who was abducted and murdered after after boarding a BRT vehicle in Ajah, were mutilated.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Titilayo, the older sister of Bamise, addressing a press conference said that Bamise’s private part was removed by those who attacked while she was still alive.

“She died in pain after they cut her private parts. They didn’t kill her before cutting her private parts. If you are a lover of wrestling, there is what they call hell in the cell. That is what my sister went through before her last breath on earth”, she said.

However, while speaking to newsmen today March 8, CP Alabi denied the claim, stating that he was at the mortuary alongside some members of late Bamise‘s family and there was no evidence to show that any part of her body was mutilated.

The CP also stated that it has not yet been confirmed if she was raped. He said an autopsy will be conducted on her soon.
