Veteran Journalist, Publisher Of Nigerian Newspaper, Prince Obasi Is Dead

The death of veteran journalist and Publisher of Hallmark Newspaper, Prince Emeka Obasi, has been announced,

Prince Emeka Obasi, who passed away at 58 was a former Commissioner for Information in Abia State.

He died on Wednesday morning after a protracted ailment, it was gathered.

Confirming the death of the journalist on the Facebook page of the deceased, a friend, Obinna Ezugwu, wrote, “Worst day of my life since I lost my dad. This truly hurts. RIP boss, Prince Emeka Obasi. It has been a battle but I know you are in a better place. It is well.”

Others, who knew Obasi closely during his lifetime, have also been expressing shock and condolences on his Facebook page.

Before establishing Hallmark Newspaper, the deceased had previously published National Mirror Newspaper, which he later sold to billionaire businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim.
