According to Taras Dumenko, the chief of the local military administration, around 400 people of the Kiev suburb of Hostomel remain missing after 35 days of Russian occupation.

According to Dumenko, officials are presently investigating basements in the neighborhood.

He stated that there is no sign of a local doctor’s spouse and kid, who were abducted 12 days ago, and that the remains of other unknown persons who were killed are also missing.

Several Hostomel people, he claims, have been discovered in Bucha, another Kiev suburb.

At the weekend, the discovery of civilian dead in Bucha sparked an international outcry.

Hostomel is northwest of the capital Kiev and is close to an airfield.

The suburb was heavily contested from the start of Russia’s invasion in February and most of its 16,000 residents fled.

A few days ago, Ukrainian troops took back control of Hostomel, along with the other Kiev suburbs of Bucha and Irpin.
