The need to establish a Ministry whose responsibility it will be to negotiate ransom, payment and documentation has been raised by Kano-based lawyer, Bulama Bukarti.

Bukarti prior to the advice mentioned that a close source told him that N100 million was paid for the release of the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Ali-Hassan.
”A family source confirmed to me that N100m, in cash, was paid for the release of the MD of Bank of Agric. The crazy money terrorists are making in Nigeria! This problem will simply keep growing. Not only are there no consequences to terrorism, it also pays handsomely. It’s sad.
